So I went home that day from my last day of school. It was kind of strange. I mean, I didn't know what to do with myself. It took me a couple of days to get into the lazy, slow pace, lethargic summer schedule. Tomorrow I don't have to get up and go to school or do anything (if I want). I had plans of cleaning out my closet . . .yeah, right. My mom wants to teach me to cook . . .  when she learns. I could take Prissy for longer walks . . . like that's gonna happen.

I wish I could get a job, but my parents won't let me. Oh well, I could always go and visit my friend Samantha and her 7-10 brothers and sister! It's usually an indoor playground over her house. It becomes so noisy and annoying I end up leaving before I have to go home. Like Samantha is the oldest one in the family (at least after her older brother and sister left to college. - p.s. I don't think they left to college, they just said they did so they could get out of the house). I don't understand how she could survive it! I know I couldn't.  Anyway, I'll figure out what to do this summer, right now, mom and I have to run out and get junk food. The guys are preparing for a Star War movie marathon. Cheetos and Sour Patches are A MUST!

I just started my second year of high school and for extra credit in English class, my English teacher, Mr. Cohen, told us to start a blog. Because of his book editorial background, he wanted all of us to become Hemingways', Brontes' and Dr. Seues'. (Theodor Geisel is one of our century's great writers, I don't care what you think!) So he gave us a quick lesson on writing a chapter book, in first person  P.O.V. (that's 'point of view' for those who don't know) and how to write in a dialogue type style, meaning writing like people are having actual conversations. I also had my friends comment on my blog, to make it seem more realistic. At the end of the year, we would all get to read one of our stories, and the best story would get an A+, that would hopefully give us a better grade average. I think it sounded fun! What better to write about then yourself! So I thought about everything that happened this summer, including the beginning of my first shot at entering the work force, and all the interesting situations I would get myself in. SO, HERE GOES:

Here I was, the last day of my first year of high school. My year was okay. I passed all of my subjects, but barely passed Algebra and P.E. I'm not good in math and I hated running,so every time we had to run long distance, I would  forget my shorts or make believe I had a sprained something.

To insure I would pass my first year, beside the mandatory classes like English and History, I took subjects like Typing, Short Shorthand and Home Economics. Next year I need to get serious and take more college prep courses like Speed Typing, Long Short Hand and Home Economics II.  I have no aspirations of becoming a brain surgeon or physicist (thank goodness). Problem is, I still don't know what I want to do with myself after high school.

This past year having my brother in the same grade didn't help me at all. He had all honor classes, that he would never go to, except for finals, then he would just show up and pass the test. I hate him. Johnny was MIA for the first two weeks. He didn't have all his shots updated and his license tag was expired! After that, we kind of hung out, but not as much as we hang out at home.
Thank goodness for my friend Sam! Although she was a Sophomore, she made my Freshman year of high school tolerable. You ROCK Sam!
